Mark Zak has extensive work experience in the field of medicinal chemistry. Mark is currently working as the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Nurix Therapeutics since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Principal Scientist of Medicinal Chemistry at the same company from June 2021 to June 2022. Before joining Nurix Therapeutics, Mark worked at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research as a Senior Medicinal Chemist and Principal Investigator from September 2020 to June 2021. Mark also has a significant tenure at Genentech, where they held various positions. Mark was a Principal Scientist of Medicinal Chemistry from November 2018 to August 2020, a Senior Scientist of Medicinal Chemistry from June 2013 to November 2018, and a Scientist of Medicinal Chemistry from September 2005 to June 2013.

Mark Zak received their PhD in Chemistry from Scripps Research, completing their studies from 2000 to 2005.
