Lucas Newman's work experience includes co-founding Nucleo in 2022, where they currently hold the role of Co-founder & CTO. Prior to this, they worked at Skylight as a Software Engineer from October 2020 to March 2022, where they focused on digital government consultancy. Before that, Lucas served as a Senior iOS Developer and iOS Developer at Big Nerd Ranch from August 2016 to October 2020, gaining extensive experience in building and maintaining mobile and desktop applications. Lucas also had an internship as an iOS Engineer at Agency Spotter from August 2015 to March 2016 and worked as an iOS Engineer at Plutonium Apps from May 2015 to February 2016. In addition, Lucas had a research and development co-op position at Manhattan Associates from May 2014 to August 2014.

Lucas Newman attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
