Mark Ferriss has worked in the tech industry since 1998. Mark began their career as a Design Engineer at Analog Devices. In 2009, they joined IBM - T.J. Wastson Research Center as a Research Staff Member. In 2019, they moved to Elenion Technologies as an RF Engineer. Most recently, they have been an IC designer at Nubis Communications since 2022.

Mark Ferriss received their Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Electrical Engineering from University College Cork in 1998. Mark then attended the University of Michigan, where they earned their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2008.
