Lex-Jan Westra has extensive work experience in marketing and product management. Lex-Jan started their career at Xerox Document House Noord as a Junior Account Manager in October 1997 and worked there until August 1998. Lex-Jan then joined Canon Europa N.V., where they participated in the Pan-European Graduate Programme from October 1999 to March 2001. During this time, they held the position of International Product Manager at Canon Europe Ltd. / Canon Systems Management Europe Ltd. in the UK. Following this, Lex-Jan worked at Canon Deutschland GmbH as a Product Manager from 2000 to 2003. Lex-Jan then joined NT-Ware in March 2004 as a General Marketing Manager and served in this role until October 2007. Lex-Jan subsequently joined Océ Technologies as an International Product Manager in November 2007 and worked there until February 2012. Finally, Lex-Jan returned to NT-Ware in February 2012 as the Marketing Director, where they currently hold this position.

Lex-Jan Westra attended Gymnasium Bernrode for an unspecified period of time. Lex-Jan then enrolled at the University of Groningen from 1991 to 1993, where they studied Economics without obtaining a degree. Later, from 1993 to 1997, they attended Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, graduating with a degree in Commercial Economics.
