Shane Gandy has extensive experience in information technology and management, currently serving as the Director of Digital Field Services at the NSW Department of Education since October 2016, where Shane leads a team of approximately 300 staff to develop and execute strategic plans for ICT service delivery. In previous roles within the same department, Shane held positions including Director of Identity & Access Management and Acting Executive Director Chief Information Security Officer, responsible for shaping cyber security strategies and managing identity and access management systems. Prior to this, Shane worked at Commonwealth Bank for over 17 years in various leadership roles, including Service Delivery Manager for Identity & Access Management, where Shane oversaw IAM services for a large workforce and extensive customer base. Shane holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics and Finance from Western Sydney University.
