Wim Bernasco is a Senior Researcher at NSCR, a position held since September 2000, where responsibilities include conducting and supervising scientific research, as well as communicating findings in both professional and popular outlets. From January 2013 to September 2022, Wim served as a Professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, focusing on research and teaching related to the spatial aspects of crime, while supervising Master and PhD students. Wim holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Sociology from Utrecht University and both a Master's degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science from Leiden University.
