Gus McCubbing is a journalist with extensive experience in the media industry. Currently working at The Australian Financial Review since May 2022, Gus previously held journalist positions at Australian Associated Press from July 2019 to April 2022 and Fairfax Media from November 2018 to July 2019. Prior to these roles, Gus interned at Caixin Media in early 2014. In terms of education, Gus earned a Graduate Diploma of Journalism from RMIT University in 2017, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from The Australian National University between 2011 and 2016, and completed an Intermediate Chinese Course at Beijing Language and Culture University in 2010.
