Sharene Shealey has extensive experience in environmental management, currently serving as the Director of Environmental at NRG Energy since September 2008, where responsibilities include environmental permitting and compliance for power generating facilities. Prior to this role, Sharene held positions as Senior Environmental Manager and Environmental Manager at NRG Energy. Additional experience includes serving as President of the Board of Directors for Pittsburgh Public Schools from 2009 to 2013 and working as an Air Quality Specialist at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Sharene also has a background in education as an Adjunct Teacher at the Community College of Allegheny County and in engineering at Procter & Gamble, focusing on health care research and product development. Sharene holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Howard University.
