Tina Papazotos has a strong background in biological research and laboratory work. Tina is currently working as a Lab Operations Associate at Nomic Bio since May 2023. Prior to this, they held several roles at Concordia University, including Graduate Research Scientist from 2019 to 2023, where they focused on engineering biological systems and investigating cellular dynamics at the single-cell level. Tina also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from 2020 to 2021, supporting online learning and ensuring student safety during laboratory sessions. Before joining Concordia University, Tina worked as a Research Assistant at Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, Sinai Health from 2017 to 2018, where they contributed to projects related to nutrient sensing and the dysregulation of cellular pathways in diseases such as cancer and Parkinson's. Tina also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo in 2017 and as a Research Technician at Ryerson University in 2016, where they focused on biology-related tasks such as facilitating lab sessions and purifying therapeutic proteins. Additionally, Tina worked as a Laboratory Technician at the University of Waterloo from 2015 to 2016, conducting research on environmental toxicology and virology in fish farms.
Tina Papazotos is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Synthetic Biology at Concordia University, which is expected to be completed in 2023. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Biology, with a co-op program, from the University of Waterloo in 2019.
