Hayley Canning has over 6 years of work experience in marketing, sales and customer service. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Crew Trainer at McDonald's. Hayley then worked as a Marketing Coordinator and Barista at Mochaberry Coffee & Company Ltd from 2016 to 2019. During this time, they developed strong customer service and marketing skills, used a core marketing vision to generate engaging and appropriate posters, promotions, and advertisements, and managed company social media accounts, growing the social media following from 150 to over 1000. From 2019 to 2021, Canning held various roles at the University of Waterloo, including Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, Student Ambassador, Waterloo Science Orientation Coordinator, and Senior Online Learning Assistant. In 2021, Canning worked as a Sales and Marketing Specialist at both Polar and Nova Social Display. Hayley prepared materials for use in sales meetings, managed company social media accounts, created a showcase of client campaigns, and executed paid advertisement campaigns. Lastly, from 2021 to 2022, Canning worked as a Growth Marketing Specialist at Nowspeed Marketing.
Hayley Canning is currently attending the University of Waterloo, where they are completing a Bachelor of Science in Science and Business, Cooperative Program, with an Economics Minor. Prior to this, they obtained their Ontario Secondary School Diploma from Orangeville District Secondary School in 2017. Hayley has also obtained certifications in Emergency First Aid+CPR C+ AED training (May 2018), Smart Serve (April 2018), Diplome D'etudes en Langue Francaise, A1 (Beginner French Certification), and Royal Conservatory of Music Grade 8 Piano with Honours.
