Sylvain Seif, PhD has a wealth of experience in the polymer engineering field. In 2003, they began working as an Engineering Cooperative at The Hoover Company in the Materials Development Laboratory. There, they gained proficiency in running tests on various machines and developed problem-solving skills. Sylvain then moved to The University of Akron in 2006, where they served as the External Affairs Officer and President of the student body at the Department of Polymer Engineering. In 2010, they joined Napco National as a Technical Manager, where they managed Research and Development in polymer blending/compounding operations and oversaw the Quality Control Lab. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Professor at Notre Dame de Louaize University and taught courses in Engineering Mechanics and Sciences of Materials. In 2013, they became a Professor at University Saint Esprit Kaslik, where they taught Advanced Process Engineering Lab and Industrial Internship Projects I and II. Finally, in 2022, they joined Novoloop as a Senior Polymer Engineer, where they became a lab manager and had expertise in running injection molding and co-extrusion cast film machines. Sylvain also had expertise in testing and analyzing results of molded TPU-based bars and plaques as well as TPU films for mechanical, thermal, rheological and physical properties.
Sylvain Seif obtained their Diploma from Sagesse High School in 2000. Sylvain then attended The University of Akron, receiving a BS in Mechanical Polymer Engineering in 2005 and a PhD in Polymer Engineering in 2009.
