L. B. Oddershede is currently the Chief Scientific Officer at Novo Nordisk Foundation, where they lead the planetary science and technology division. They have extensive experience as a full Professor of physics, previously associated with the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen and as a Senior Vice President at Novo Nordisk Fonden. L. Oddershede is recognized for pioneering research at the intersection of physics, biology, and medicine, particularly in the mechanics of living matter and nanoparticle applications in cancer therapy. Additionally, they serve on various boards, including Quantum Denmark and QuNorth, and have been a member of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences and the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters. L. Oddershede earned a PhD in Physics from Syddansk Universitet.
