Benjamin Woznica

C-store Retail Sales & Gross Profit Dollar Consultant at Novelty

Benjamin Woznica has over 30 years of experience in the convenience store industry. Benjamin started their career at National Convenience Stores as a Category Manager. Benjamin then worked at Garb-Ko Inc as a Senior Category Manager, responsible for managing the Beverage and Grocery categories for 150 7-Elevens. Benjamin achieved sales growth and profit improvement during their time in this role.

Woznica later joined Rutters Farm Stores as a Marketing/Advertising Manager, where they were responsible for the marketing and advertising of a 52-store chain. Benjamin received awards for their creative radio advertising and managed P&L sales and gross profit budgets.

Afterwards, Woznica worked at ExxonMobil for over a decade, holding various roles such as Convenience Store Category Manager, B2B Business Development Manager, and Category Manager - Center Store. Benjamin successfully grew and developed a $100M sales budget and implemented SAP, EDI, and B2B systems. Benjamin also served as the US SAP EDI and B2B Business Development Manager, responsible for developing EDI and B2B interfaces with retail suppliers.

Woznica then joined CEFCO Convenience Stores as a Senior Category Manager, where they led the Packaged Beverage and Center Store Grocery categories. Benjamin implemented innovative shelf grocery programs and achieved sales and margin increases through space management and inventory reduction strategies. Benjamin also developed a proprietary gift card program that contributed to fuel volume growth.

After CEFCO, Woznica worked at FREDS PHARMACY as a Category Manager/Merchant, specializing in the Tobacco, Beer & Wine, Perishable Grocery, Dairy, and Ice Cream categories. Benjamin optimized planograms, reduced inventory, and introduced revised planograms for cigars, OTP, E-Cigs, and vaping products.

Most recently, Woznica worked at Novelty Inc. as the Vice President of Convenience Store Key Accounts. Prior to that, they were a Senior Key Account Executive and a Category Management Consultant. Benjamin focused on DSD, warehouse, and wholesale solutions for General Merchandise and Technology products, serving as a sales and profit consultant for C-Store and Non-traditional Retail Stores.

Benjamin Woznica began their education in 1984 at Saginaw Valley State University, where they pursued a degree in Marketing Communications. Benjamin completed their Bachelor of Science degree in this field in 1989. In 1990, Woznica enrolled at the University of Michigan Business School, where they focused on Business Management and Communication in their program. Benjamin studied at this institution for one year, from 1990 to 1991. Additionally, during the same four-year period, from 1990 to 1994, they attended Saginaw Valley State University again, where they pursued a degree in Business Marketing with a concentration in Business/Corporate Communications.
