Berit Carow, PhD, is a Senior Scientist at Novavax AB, focusing on preclinical studies and the mechanism of action for Matrix-M within the Product Development Department and Adjuvant Immunology Group. Prior to this role, Berit Carow served as a Scientist at Karolinska Institutet, leading projects on tuberculosis and sarcoidosis, utilizing spatial transcriptomics, and mentoring PhD students. Berit Carow also contributed as a postdoctoral fellow, researching immune responses to tuberculosis and supervising Biomedicine Master students. Additionally, Berit Carow provided molecular diagnostics support for SARS-CoV-2 during the pandemic at Karolinska University Hospital and was an athlete on the German National Rowing Team, earning medals at the World Rowing Championships and finishing 4th at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Medical Science from Karolinska Institutet and an MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Christian Albrechts Universität.
