Gwennaelle Monnot

Principal Scientist (lab Head) at Novartis

Gwennaelle Monnot is a Principal Scientist and Lab Head at Novartis since December 2020, specializing in bioassays and global drug development. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Scientist role at Columbia University from August 2017 to October 2020, and postdoctoral research and PhD studies at the University of Lausanne focused on the role of microRNAs in CD8+ T cell development and homeostasis from March 2012 to February 2017. Gwennaelle Monnot has also served as a substitute teacher in mathematics, natural sciences, and English in the Etat de Vaud, and completed a master thesis project on antibody responses to blood-stage malaria in children from Burkina Faso. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Cancer & Immunology from the University of Lausanne, an MSc in Immunology of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences and Technologies from EPFL.
