Laurent Saniere is an accomplished pharmaceutical executive with extensive experience in pharmacology and medicinal chemistry. Currently serving as the Senior Vice-President and Head of Pharmacology & DMPK at NovAliX since July 2023, Laurent leads pharmacology initiatives, including in vitro, in vivo, and translational sciences. Prior to NovAliX, Laurent spent 15 years at Galapagos, holding various leadership roles, including Head of the Fibrosis Therapeutic Area, where oversight of a 50-scientist team encompassed all aspects of fibrosis research. Laurent's earlier positions at Galapagos involved strategic leadership in anti-infectives and medicinal chemistry, along with a role at Cerep as a Team Leader in Medicinal Chemistry. Academic credentials include a Doctorate in Medicinal Chemistry and a DEA in Pharmacochemistry and Pharmacology from Université Louis Pasteur, complemented by an engineering degree in Chemistry from ECPM.
