Garrett Britz has a diverse work experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Garrett is currently serving as the Vice President of Growth and Program Operations at NOVA Technologies since January 2023. Prior to that, Garrett worked at Lockheed Martin from 2011 to 2022, where they held various roles including Program Manager, Subcontract Program Manager, and Procurement Engineering Manager. Garrett also worked at Northrop Grumman Corporation as a Test Engineer and Avionics Specialist from 2008 to 2011. Before joining the private sector, Garrett served in the United States Air Force as an Avionics Technician from 2002 to 2008.
Garrett Britz attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Engineering & Management. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2004, they attended the Community College of the Air Force and received an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Avionics Maintenance Technology/Technician. Additionally, Garrett holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which they obtained from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
In terms of certifications, they completed the Program Management Development Program from Lockheed Martin in December 2021. Garrett also received the Diagnosing Unwanted Outcomes - Advanced Investigation certification from the National Transportation Safety Board in March 2016. Furthermore, Garrett holds the OHSAS 18001 Lead Implementer - Health & Safety Certification from the OSHA Safety Training Institute (obtained in June 2012), the Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification from Lockheed Martin (obtained in May 2012), and the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification - Level II from Lockheed Martin (obtained in September 2011). Garrett also possesses an Airframe, Power Plant, or Repairer License granted by the Federal Aviation Administration in October 2007. Finally, Garrett acquired the FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License (GROL) with Radar endorsement (Elements 1, 3, 8) from the Federal Communications Commission, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification were not provided.
