Leonard Pounds, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Leonard is currently a Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Computing and Engineering, where they evaluate students' class work, prepares and delivers lectures, and facilitates classroom discussions.

Prior to this, Leonard held several positions at Nova Southeastern University, including Vice President of NSU Health, Interim Vice President of Clinical Operations & Deputy CIO, Deputy Chief Information Officer for NSU Healthcare and Research Technology, Senior Director of Clinical Informatics, Senior Director of Client Support Services, and Director of Computing Facilities and Field Engineering. In these roles, they provided leadership and strategic planning, coordinated healthcare operations, directed non-patient care activities, and developed and integrated clinical information systems.

Leonard also worked as an Information Technology Professor at Keiser University and as a District IT Manager at New Castle District Library, where they were responsible for technology management and support.

Leonard Pounds, Ph.D., obtained their Ph.D. in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University in 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Masters in Management of Information Systems (MMIS) at Nova Southeastern University in 2010. Leonard also holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, which they earned from 2004 to 2008.
