Gerhard Remmers has extensive experience in the chemical industry, primarily with AkzoNobel and currently with Nouryon. Gerhard has held various positions, including BU Subsidy Manager at Nouryon since October 2018 and previously in multiple roles at AkzoNobel, such as Innovation Technologist and Senior Researcher across different business units from 1984 to 2008. Gerhard began a career at Akzo Salt & Base Chemicals Division as a Process Engineer and progressed to roles including Team Leader and Project Manager. Gerhard holds a Master's degree in Chemical Technology with a focus on Inorganic Material Science and Corrosion from the University of Twente, completed in 1979.
