Wassim Katerji, PhD, is an experienced GIS specialist currently serving as a Senior GIS Specialist for the USAID MEPL at Management Systems International since January 2022 and as a Part-Time Faculty Member at Lebanese American University since September 2023. Previously, Wassim held several key positions, including Senior GIS Specialist for USAID PMSPL I and II at Social Impact, GIS Consultant for USAID LRBMS with International Resources Group, and various GIS consultant roles with GIZ, DAI, and SAFEGE. Wassim's earlier experience includes leadership in automated mapping production as Assistant Head of Section at Fugro MAPS and GIS programming at ArabiaGIS. Wassim holds a PhD in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and both an MS in Computer Information Systems and a BS in Geographic Information Systems from Notre Dame University - Louaize.
