Gemma Grainger is an experienced football coach currently serving as a member of the FIFA Technical Study Group for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 and as a UEFA Technical Observer for both the UEFA Women’s European Championships 2022 and the UEFA Women’s Champions League 2022/2023. Grainger has been the Head Coach of the Wales Women’s National Team since March 2021 and previously held various roles with The Football Association, including Head Coach for England Women’s youth teams, where notable achievements include leading the U19/U20 team to European Championship Finals and the U17 team to a Bronze Medal in the European Championship Finals in 2015. Grainger’s extensive coaching background is supported by a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sports Coaching from the University of Teesside and a Pro Licence qualification from UEFA.
