Archimede Torretta currently serves as a Process Development Scientist at NorthX Biologics since September 2024. Prior to this role, Archimede worked at InSingulo AB from May 2023 to September 2024 as a Scientist and Product Developer, focusing on the establishment of standard operating procedures for the production and characterization of fluorescently labeled cellular derived vesicles. Archimede's postdoctoral research at Lund University from January 2022 to May 2023 involved investigating the enzyme PARP14 and its novel enzymatic activities using molecular biology and liquid chromatography techniques. Archimede completed a PhD in Nanotechnology at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia from November 2018 to March 2022, specializing in drug discovery targets and gaining expertise in genetic construct design and protein purification. Additionally, Archimede taught science and mathematics at MatemUpp in Milan from April 2019 to December 2021. Archimede holds a Master's degree in Bioengineering from Politecnico di Milano (2015-2018) and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from 2012 to 2015, alongside a high school diploma from Liceo Classico Linguistico Daniele Crespi (2007-2012).
