Diego Klabjan is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in machine learning and data science. Currently serving as a Professor and Director at Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering since August 2006, Diego leads the Center for Deep Learning and the Master of Science in Machine Learning and Data Science program. Previously, Diego co-founded Videspan Inc., a no-code MLOps platform, and Opex Analytics, a firm specializing in advanced analytics and business consulting. Diego has also held advisory roles at Agentis Energy, A.T. Kearney, and Alpine Data, alongside prior academic positions at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Diego earned a Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Ljubljana.
