Jared Hansen is an accomplished music educator and director with extensive experience in choral and church music. Currently serving as the Assistant Choir Director and Accompanist at Northwest Public Schools since August 2020, Jared has also held multiple roles in local churches, including Organist at Messiah Lutheran Church and Cantor/Accompanist/Organist at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Previous positions include Music Director/Organist at First Christian Church and Accompanist/Show Band Director at Grand Island Public Schools. Jared's background in education includes teaching reading skills at the Institute of Reading Development and music instruction at Beginnings Nursery School. A graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Jared is passionate about community building, social enterprise, and grassroots mobilization for social justice causes.
