Candice Jimenez serves as Chief of Staff and previously held roles as a Health Policy Analyst and Health Policy Specialist at the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board since May 2013. This organization advocates for the health care needs of 43 Tribes in the Northwest and focuses on policy research and development for AI/AN health issues. Prior experience includes roles as Community Leader Liaison at Metro, where collaboration with diverse communities enhanced planning and decision-making, and involvement in various capacity-building initiatives, such as the Oregon LEAD Program and the Bridges Alumni Pilot Cohort. Candice's earlier positions encompass health system implementation, census leadership, and educational support for AI/AN youth. Currently pursuing a PhD in Indigenous Public Health at the University of North Dakota, Candice holds an MPH from Oregon Health & Science University, a B.A. from Concordia University-Portland, and an A.S. from Shoreline Community College.
