Kari Neumeyer

Communications Manager at Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission

Kari Neumeyer is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Communications Manager for Northwest Treaty Tribes and as Vice-Chair of Marketing and Communications for STAAR Ovarian Cancer. With a background at the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission since 2006, Neumeyer has focused on enhancing public understanding of treaty fishing rights and chronicling the efforts of tribes in natural resource management. An accomplished author, Kari Neumeyer wrote "Bark and Lunge: Saving My Dog from Training Mistakes," which received multiple awards, including the Readers' Favorite Gold Medal. Previous roles include media coordinator at Western Washington University and reporter positions at The Olympian and Skagit Valley Herald. Neumeyer holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema-Television from the University of Southern California.
