Onora Lien is the founding Executive Director of Northwest Healthcare Response Network, a role held since October 2013, where leadership has transformed the organization into a nationally respected non-profit healthcare coalition focused on effective disaster response and recovery across Western Washington. In addition, Onora serves as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Washington's School of Public Health for various courses. Previous experience includes co-leading the National Healthcare Coalition Resource Center, managing emergency response planning at Public Health - Seattle & King County, and conducting research at the Center for Biosecurity of UPMC and the Center for Civilian Biodefense Strategies. Educational qualifications include a Masters in Sociology from The Johns Hopkins University and a BA in Sociology and German from Pacific Lutheran University, along with a Certificate from the Women's Leadership Program at UC Irvine.
