Khaliqa Wheatley serves as the Crisis Negotiation Unit Commander and Lieutenant at Walton County Sheriff's Office. Khaliqa also holds the position of Mental Health and Wellness Coordinator at the same organization. At Northwest Florida State College, Wheatley works as the Specialized/Advanced Training Coordinator. Khaliqa previously worked as a Police Officer at Ventura Police Department and Ventura County Community College District. Their educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Criminology from the University of La Verne, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Columbia Southern University, and Khaliqa is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Liberty University.
