Douglas Spierer has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Douglas started their career with DYMO as a Marketing Intern in 2006. Douglas then worked as an Intern at NY Sportimes in 2007 and later became a Managing Intern in 2009. In 2008, they briefly worked as a Runner at NBC Olympics. In 2010, they were a Marketing Intern with the Boston Celtics and a Group Sales Account Executive at NY Sportimes.
Douglas joined Northstar Travel Group in 2011 and held multiple positions including Classified Sales Manager & Events Assistant. Douglas later became a Business Development Manager responsible for the Southeast territory and achieved significant revenue growth. From 2016 to 2020, they served as the Business Development Director for the West Coast, overseeing territories for TravelAge West and Travel Weekly.
Douglas currently holds the position of Business Development Director for the East Coast at Northstar Travel Group. Douglas has taken on increased responsibilities, including managing the West Coast sales team and generating total revenues of $8 million. Douglas has adapted sales strategies to address the impact of Covid-19 and launched new products to support partners' immediate needs. Additionally, they recently organized the first annual Western US Virtual Expo, featuring unique destinations that have not previously worked with Northstar Travel Group's audiences.
Douglas Spierer attended the State University of New York Cortland from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Management.
