John Hefner has extensive experience in ministry and safety management. Since November 1997, John has served as the Parking Ministry Leader, participated in the Safety Ministry Team, and acted as a Life Coach and Men's Ministry Team member at Northside Christian Church. Additionally, since June 2000, John has volunteered as a chaplain at Lackey Free Clinic. John's professional background includes a 32-year tenure at NASA Langley Research Center from November 1978 to December 2010 as a consultant focused on facility management, aviation ground safety, and security management. Prior to that, John served as a Jet Engine Technician in the United States Air Force from September 1972 to September 1978. Educationally, John attended Thomas Nelson Community College from 1978 to 1982, Kecoughtan High School from 1970 to 1972, and has also been associated with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the University of California, Davis.
