Sean Howard is a Principal Physicist at Northrop Grumman since March 2023. Previously, Sean served as a Senior Staff Scientist at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory from July 2020 to April 2023. Sean's academic background includes a PhD in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where research focused on emergent phenomena in strongly correlated electron systems, as well as experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant. Prior to this, Sean was a Teaching Assistant at the University of Notre Dame, specializing in Computational Methods in Physics. Sean earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Notre Dame from 2011 to 2015.
