Derek Chan has had a diverse range of roles within the tax industry. Their most recent position is as a Managing Director at Northleaf Capital Partners, where they have been since 2016. Prior to this, they held roles at Northleaf as Director and Vice President of Tax. Before joining Northleaf, Derek worked as the Director of Taxation at Brookfield Global Relocation Services from 2013 to 2016. Derek also gained valuable experience at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where they worked as a Manager from 2010 to 2013 and as a Senior Analyst from 2007 to 2010.

Derek Chan has a Master of Accounting (MAcc) degree from the University of Waterloo.
