Javier Chavarria currently serves as Managing Director and Head of Global M&A at Northland Power Inc., responsible for the origination and execution of M&A transactions across Canada, the USA, and Europe, notably leading the sale of the 130MW La Lucha solar project in Mexico. Previously, Javier held leadership roles including Managing Director and Head of Latin America, where a team of 20 professionals was developed to focus on investment opportunities in the region, and Senior Vice President at Partners Group, leading the sourcing of over USD 5 billion in potential investments in Latin America. Additional experience includes Senior Vice President at GE Energy Financial Services, where significant equity investments were executed in Latin America, Vice President at Sanders Morris Harris, Managing Director at Solar Development Capital, and Director at Enron. Educational achievements include an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan and a degree in Electronic Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
