Ilana Z. Rubin is the founder of Kindred Nature, where restorative nature connection experiences and ecological design services are offered in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. In addition to this role, Ilana serves as a Naturalist for NOVA Parks, providing live animal interpretation programs and caring for various wildlife species. Previous experience includes Forest Garden Steward and Designer at Forested, LLC., where community-centered plantings were designed to enhance environmental health. Ilana held several roles in water resource management with organizations such as the National Wildlife Federation and Mississippi River Network, focusing on improving federal water policies and ecosystem restoration. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University, alongside various certifications in nonprofit management and human resources.
