Emily Van Buskirk is an experienced marketing and communication professional with a strong focus on sports and digital media. Currently serving as Assistant Marketing Manager for Northern California Golf Association and Poppy Holding Inc. since August 2023, Emily also holds the position of Senior Writer at The SkyBoat since May 2018 and has contributed to SB Nation as an AAC Contributor and Podcast Host from August 2021 to January 2024. Previous roles include U.S. Women’s Open Marketing/Sales Administrator at Pebble Beach Resorts, College Football Writer at Yardbarker, Inc., and Community and Fan Engagement Assistant with the Peoria Chiefs Community Baseball LLC, where Emily managed social media and event coordination. Early career experiences include digital media work with the San Francisco Giants and an internship at Entercom. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from California State University - East Bay, complemented by education from Saint Mary's College of California and Marin Catholic High School.
