Hannah Epstein serves as the Stewardship Director at Northeast Wilderness Trust since June 2021, overseeing wilderness preserves and implementing stewardship rewilding actions while leading a team of land stewards. Previously, Hannah held various positions at The Great Basin Institute, including Stewardship Manager and Vegetation Technician, where responsibilities included conducting rare plant surveys, managing GPS and GIS data, and organizing conservation crews. Prior experience includes roles at the Intervale Center focused on riparian tree planting, The Nature Conservancy as an AmeriCorps Stewardship Assistant & Outreach Coordinator, and seasonal land stewardship at the Southeast Land Trust of NH. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of Vermont and participation in the EcoQuest Study Abroad Program at the University of New Hampshire in New Zealand, focusing on ecology and environmental policy.
