Terry Ryan, APR has a wealth of experience in communications and public relations. Starting in 1991, Terry worked as a Copy Editor and Assistant to City Editors at the Daily Herald before transitioning to the role of Regional Editor at Sun Publications in 1997. In 1999, Terry moved into the education sector, becoming the Director of Community Relations at Lake Park High School. During this time, Terry led various communications efforts, including the successful bond referendum campaign and the redesign of the school district's website. Terry also initiated the district's first adult Community Education program and organized yearly Parent University programs. After leaving Lake Park High School in 2007, Terry worked as the Manager of Communications Support at School District U-46, Assistant to the Chief Communications Officer. Terry then moved on to serve as the Community Relations Coordinator at Bensenville School District 2, where they were responsible for community relations and strategic communications for the elementary district. In 2015, Terry held two positions simultaneously, working as the Communications Coordinator at Community Consolidated School District 89 and as the Interim Communications Coordinator at Northbrook District 28. Currently, Terry is the Communications Director at Northbrook School District 28, overseeing district and school communications for internal and external audiences, promoting the mission and vision of the organization through various media channels. Throughout their career, Terry has consistently demonstrated expertise in managing communications, media relations, web and social media, and community engagement strategies.

Terry Ryan, APR received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, completing their studies from 1980 to 1984. Additionally, in November 2013, they obtained the APR certification from the Universal Accreditation Board.
