Dan Smith is a seasoned engineer specializing in controls systems, currently serving as the Sr. Hot Mill Controls Systems Engineer at North Star BlueScope Steel, LLC since February 2019. With an extensive career at NorthStar BlueScope Steel LLC beginning in January 2004, Dan has held positions of increasing responsibility, initially starting as a Hot Mill Controls Systems Engineer. Prior experience includes roles at Duferco Farrell Corp as a Cold Mill Level 2 Engineer and at WCI Steel Inc. as a Hot Mill Level 2 Engineer. Dan began their career as a Controls Engineer at Ajax Tocco Magnethermic.
