Matt Rhoton is a seasoned fire service professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within various fire departments. They served as Deputy Chief at the North Charleston Fire Department, where they have been responsible for operations since 2018, after holding the position of Division Chief from 2012 to 2018. Prior to that, they were Deputy Chief at James Island PSD Fire Department from 2008 to 2012. Currently, Matt works as an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the City of North Charleston since 2025.
