AJ Lang serves as the Water Resources Branch Program Head at the North Carolina Forest Service since June 2016, managing nonpoint source program projects and overseeing BMP initiatives and training. Additionally, AJ serves as a Geographic Information Systems Specialist for the U.S. Forest Service since August 2018. From January 2018 to January 2021, AJ held the position of Assistant Adjunct Professor at North Carolina State University, focusing on forest operations and watershed management. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech from January 2012 to June 2016, where AJ conducted research on sediment pathways in streamside management zones. AJ holds a PhD in Forest Operations, a Master's in Forestry, and a Bachelor's degree in Forestry with a Watershed Management Option, all from Virginia Tech, and attended PennWest California from 2007 to 2009.
