Jasmine McGhee

Senior Deputy Attorney General, Consumer Protection Division Director at NC Department of Justice

Jasmine McGhee is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in both public service and private practice. Currently serving as the Senior Deputy Attorney General and Director of the Consumer Protection Division at the NC Department of Justice since February 2017, Jasmine manages significant consumer protection initiatives. As an Eisenhower USA Justice Fellow since July 2022, Jasmine has engaged in international studies on justice system equity, focusing on Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Ghana. Prior to these roles, Jasmine practiced law as Counsel at K&L Gates and WilmerHale, holding various positions from Associate to Counsel during tenure at WilmerHale. Additionally, Jasmine completed a law clerkship with the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and gained early legal experience as an intern with the Voting Rights Project at ACLU. Jasmine holds a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
