Laura Walters possesses extensive experience in operations and program administration within educational and cultural institutions. Currently serving as the A+ Schools of North Carolina at the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources since May 2023, Laura has previously held roles such as Executive Director of Operations and Director of Operations at Raleigh Oak Charter School, where responsibilities included managing logistics, communications, and event coordination. Earlier experience includes A+ Schools Program Administrator at the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, Box Office/Membership Associate at the North Carolina Museum of Art, and Program Coordinator at Weekday Ministries, FUMC. Laura holds a Master of Arts in Public/Applied History, Museum Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Bachelor of Arts in History/American from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
