Megan LeDoux is an experienced aquatic and animal care professional with a background in husbandry, veterinary assistance, and animal rehabilitation. Currently serving as the Ambassador Aquarist at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores since November 2021, responsibilities include maintaining animal habitats and monitoring the health of various species. Prior experience at The Virginia Living Museum from March 2017 to October 2021 involved roles such as Veterinary Assistant, Aquarist, Birds and Mammal Keeper, and Herpetology Assistant, providing a broad skill set in animal care, veterinary support, and public engagement. Earlier tenure at Dream Catchers Therapeutic Riding Center from June 2014 to August 2017 focused on the care and training of horses for therapeutic programs. Megan LeDoux holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organismal Biology with a minor in Leadership Studies from Christopher Newport University, completed in 2017.
