Trond Olaf Christophersen is a seasoned executive with a robust background in finance and operational management within the aluminium and energy sectors. Since joining Norsk Hydro in December 1997, Trond has held multiple leadership roles, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and has overseen significant business units, such as Recycling and Commercial in the Primary Metal business area. Additionally, Trond has served as Managing Director for Norsk Hydro Produksjon AS and has held board positions with Industriforsikring AS and Sør-Norge Aluminium AS. Academic credentials include a Master of Management from BI Norwegian Business School and dual Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
