Florian Krumbacher has over 25 years of work experience, starting in 1995 at Linklaters as a Rechtsanwalt. Florian then worked as an Advokat at Thommessen from 1998 to 1999. In 1999, they joined Compaq International as a Legal Counsel. From 2000 to 2010, Florian worked as Vice President & General Counsel at ADVA Optical Networking. Florian then served as Senior Legal Counsel at Renewable Energy Corporation ASA from 2010 to 2012, before being promoted to SVP & Chief Legal Officer from 2012 to 2013. Florian joined Sapa in 2014 as the General Counsel Extrusions Europe, and later became EVP, Group General Counsel from 2015 to 2017. Currently, they are working at Norsk Hydro as the SVP Legal, Extrusion, a position they have held since October 2017.
Florian Krumbacher pursued higher education in the field of law. Florian began their educational journey at The University of Georgia in 1986 and then transferred to Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where they earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from 1988 to 1992. Following this, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1992 to 1993, where they obtained another LL.M. degree. Florian's pursuit of academic excellence continued at the University of Regensburg, where they completed their Doctor of Law (Ph.D.) degree from 1993 to 1995.
