James Amphlett is an experienced professional in the field of chemistry and nuclear science. Currently a Co-Founder at Nordic Salt Cycle since December 2024, James previously held multiple roles at Seaborg Technologies from June 2021 to December 2024, including R&D Program Manager, Fuel Salt Qualification Lead, and Senior Molten Salt Chemist. Additionally, James served as a Korea Research Fellow at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, focusing on molten salts and critical metal recovery from November 2018 to June 2021. James obtained a Ph.D. from The University of Manchester in 2017, specializing in sustainable uranium recovery processes, and has held various academic roles, including EPSRC Doctoral Prize Research Fellow and Visiting Research Fellow. James's extensive academic and professional background also includes a term as a Secondment Student at ANSTO and teaching roles at North Bromsgrove High School and Mad Science Worcestershire.
