Umesh Gupta has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of network engineering. umesh began their career at Huawei Technologies in 2007, where they managed the installation, commissioning, and radiation of Huawei BSC and conducted call testing. umesh also installed and commissioned over 200 Huawei BTS in Nepal and handled microwave installation.

Umesh then joined Nepal Telecom in 2012 as a Core Network Engineer, working with ZTE and Huawei equipment. umesh was responsible for the integration, operation, maintenance, and optimization of the multi-vendor PS Core Network Infrastructure. Umesh provided support for NE alarms, analyzed logs in TCP/IP and 3GPP Standard, and had expertise in configuring ZTE Routers & Switches.

In 2019, Umesh joined SETELIA as a PS/CS/IMS Core Network Specialist. umesh'sresponsibilities included managing FMVNO Core Network Infrastructure and providing L2 technical support. umesh conducted detailed analysis for troubleshooting network incidents and performed network element administration and configuration on ZTE Core equipment.

For the year 2021, Umesh worked as a Senior Network Engineer at Nepal Telecom, specializing in Cisco and ZTE. And currently, they hold the position of a Project/Support Network Engineer at Nomios, where they are involved in project management, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Junos security platforms. umesh ensures network security best practices and conducts ongoing assessments of network components.

Umesh Gupta completed their education in a chronological manner. umesh first pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from Visvesvaraya Technological University, starting in 2001 and graduating in 2005. Later, in 2010, they enrolled at the Asian Institute of Technology, where they earned a Master of Engineering in Telecom, completing the program in 2012. In 2018, Umesh furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Engineering in Satellite Navigation at Politecnico di Torino, concluding their studies in 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Umesh has obtained various certifications. In 2015, they completed the Huawei Core Network O&M Training (4G) at Huawei Technologies in China. In 2017, they obtained the LTE EPC Network Training certification from Huawei Technologies in Nepal. Moreover, they have planned to acquire two certifications in the future: Juniper Networks Certified Associate, Junos (JNCIA-Junos) and Juniper Networks Certified Specialist, Enterprise Routing & Switching (JNCIS-ENT), both planned for April 2023.
