Simone Redana is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in telecommunications and network architecture. Currently serving as Director and Head of Architecture, Security & Automation at Nokia, Simone leads a diverse team of approximately 90 experts in RAN and CORE Architecture, focusing on standardization and research across key industry organizations such as 3GPP and ORAN. Prior roles at Nokia Bell Labs included Head of Network & Architecture and Head of Architecture & Systems, where Simone directed research on 5G solutions and contributed significantly to standardization in RAN and CN protocols. Prior to this, experience at Nokia Networks included managing research teams in physical layer and protocol standardization for 5G and developing advanced solutions for spectrum management. Simone holds a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering and a Master's degree from Politecnico di Milano.
