Gordon Powell has extensive experience in the offshore drilling industry, currently serving as Operations Manager at Diamond Offshore since May 1987. Gordon has held various roles within the company, including OIM for 5th Generation Semi-Submersibles, Toolpusher, Driller, and progressed from Floorhand to Derrickhand. Prior to this, Gordon worked at Booker Drilling from 1985 to 1987 in positions ranging from Roustabout to Derrickhand. Gordon's educational background includes studies at Nicholls State University from 1984 to 1986 and Louisiana Tech University from 1983 to 1984, following completion of secondary education at Slidell High School between 1980 and 1983.
