Petro Mwamlima is currently a PhD student and researcher at the Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology (NM-AIST), focusing on innovation in faecal sludge dewatering technologies and their sustainable recycling in African nations. In addition, Petro serves as an Assistant Lecturer at Ardhi University in the School of Environment Science and Technology. As a researcher with COET & Eawag, Petro investigates improvements in faecal sludge char quality for fuel applications through co-pyrolysis processes. Furthermore, Petro is the Managing Director and Founder of PEI ENTERPRISES, a research firm dedicated to leveraging innovation for enhancing community livelihoods. Petro Mwamlima holds a Master's degree in Integrated Sanitation Management from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Bachelor's degree in Municipal and Industrial Services Engineering from Ardhi University.
